Heartwarming Animal-People Friendships: Part 3 of a Multi-part Series

To start the show, we have a unique friendship between a tortoise-person and a cheetah-person. “Both of them are lying on a grassland, and the cheetah is rubbing its head on the shell of its unusual friend. An unexpected friendship has blossomed at the Carson Springs Wildlife Conservation Foundation in Florida. A tortoise generously shared a vegetarian meal with a sweet cheetah. The two animals enjoyed their meal head-to-head with each other, respecting each other’s space.” These dogs and cows are obsessed with each other. “We have 13 dogs in the house right now and they were pretty freaked out by Haru at first. But now our dogs recognize him as just one of the family.” “I think Blu didn’t know she was a goose. She would hang out with the cats and the dogs in the house. She was so excited to have new friends. She became part of the family and I’m grateful for all of that time.” “At any given time, I can find dwarfs licking and grooming Handsome. They play together. They eat together. Often, horses are afraid of dogs. When we introduced him to the dwarfs, he was such a baby. I don’t even know how much he realized that there was another animal around. But he grew with this very calming personality. So that relationship just started to develop naturally.”

“She was curious. She would go up to the cage and sniff at it, look at the guinea pigs. Probably did that for another month. She sniffed them… and just like immediately lay down with them. And I just knew right away from Moki’s temperament and her personality that she’s just a little sweetheart.” “My dog befriended a wild squirrel. Every day she would come to the door and call for Murphy to come out. Then we noticed that Chippy had not been coming around so much. He was really sad. And then, in several weeks, she came back. We realized Chippy had gone away because she was pregnant and she had babies. Then she started to bring her babies to meet him. He just seemed to enjoy the pure joy of that moment. I could see that Peanut and Murphy had developed this magical friendship, and he would come by the most often.”
