President of Germany’s Federal Environment Agency (UBA) calls for significant reduction in meat consumption.

During an interview with the German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt, Professor Dirk Messner, president of the UBA, noted that Germany has to halve its meat consumption to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He stated, “We need to reduce factory farming so that excessive nitrogen emissions are cut, and soils, water, biodiversity and human health are less affected.” Through the “Meat Atlas 2021” report, German non-governmental organizations are asking the government to create a structure to facilitate consumers in eating less meat. Germany is a Shining World Caring Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Wise Governance laureate.

Thank you, Professor Dirk Messner, for your agency’s vital call that highlights the dangers of meat. We pray that all countries in the world swiftly turn to a vegan diet, in the love of the Providence.
