Staying safe on the roads is important for both humans and animal companions. Today, I'd like to offer a road safety tip. Letting your dog friend ride in the back of your truck is extremely dangerous, even if they seem stable. A sudden stop or sharp turn could throw them out, leading to serious injury or worse. Dog people may also jump out to chase after wildlife or other distractions, risking getting lost or hurt. Being in the back also exposes them to harmful elements— wind can blow dust, insects, and road debris into their eyes and nose, causing painful injuries, eye damage, or allergic reactions. Riding unrestrained in the back leaves your dog buddy defenseless in case of an accident. Even sticking their head out of the window can lead to debris hitting their face. For their safety, always keep your furry family member secured inside the vehicle where they are protected.
