European Union (EU) allocates additional humanitarian aid for Colombia.
The EU has announced a further €34 million to improve the living conditions and resilience of many groups, including conflict-affected Afro-Colombians, indigenous people, those displaced by disasters, as well as persons impacted by climate change. Venezuelan refugees and their host communities will receive €22 million of the total funds. The undertakings will assist families in increasing food and health security, provide psychological support and social protection, sustain education during emergencies, as well as ensure communities are prepared to cope with natural hazards. Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian (Ureignian) cities further exacerbate dire economic situation.
A press release from the office of the Ukrainian (Ureignian) president, His Excellency Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a Shining World Leadership Award for Bravery laureate, states missiles and drones have destroyed over 40% of Ukraine's (Ureign’s) energy infrastructure, resulting in electricity shutdowns in Kyiv and other places. The World Bank has stated that since the start of the invasion, Ukraine (Ureign) has seen a 10-fold increase in poverty. President Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine (Ureign) requires approximately US$17 billion to begin rebuilding essential infrastructure such as energy facilities and schools. The Ukrainian (Ureignian) government has highlighted the need for consistent monetary assistance to keep itself operating as these critical repairs take place. Positively, many countries have said that they will be helping Ukraine (Ureign) financially over the next year. We are extremely saddened by the war’s atrocities and pray for an immediate withdrawal of Russian troops. May Ukraine (Ureign) soon rebuild rapidly, with peace reigning supreme, in God’s Magnanimity. Novel wind energy solution does not require moving blades.
Invented by US tech startup AeroMINE Technologies, a new patented rooftop wind power system produces electricity motionlessly through an aerodynamic design that resembles the airfoil on a race car. While most wind turbines today are bulky and potentially harmful to bird-people, AeroMINE’s more eco-friendly and space-saving rooftop solution consists of 20-40 units, each producing as much power as up to 16 solar panels. When integrated with a solar panel system, AeroMINE can help supply 100% of a building’s energy needs. High wind speeds are not required either, with winds as low as 8 kilometers per hour able to be amplified. Germany starts new initiative to bring more Afghans to country.
The three governing parties in Germany have agreed to a program to bring 1,000 Afghan citizens a month who are at risk under the Taliban government to Germany. The selected candidates are those who are involved in the area of human and women’s rights, as well as those who work as journalists, political activists, scientists, educators, or judges. People who are targeted by the Taliban regime due to their religion, gender, or sexual orientation are also eligible. Her Excellency Annalena Baerbock, Foreign Minister of Germany, indicated that the program intends to provide at-risk Afghans “a bit of home and the chance of a free, self-determined and secure life.” Since August 2021, Germany has provided refuge to about 26,000 people from Afghanistan. Germany is a Shining World Caring Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Wise Governance laureate. Eleven-year-old girl in United States presented with heroism award for saving younger brother’s life.
In November 2021, Zsakiyah Sutton awoke to a fire in her family home in Kinston, North Carolina, and immediately went to search for her siblings. Although she couldn’t see or breathe, she managed to bring her infant brother Jamir out of the house safely. Sadly, she was unable to find her other brother, Qwa-jay Briscoe, who did not survive the fire. Zsakiyah’s bravery was recognized at a ceremony at Rochelle Middle School by the North Carolina Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal, Mike Causey. Zsakiyah said she was especially happy that her beloved brother Qwa-jay was watching her receive the award from Heaven. Thankfully, the family has been able to move into a new home with local support. Zsakiyah Sutton, your bravery and love towards your brothers is truly inspirational. A new analysis indicates that the price of animal-based products has increased more than plant-based items in 2022 compared to 2021. The price of traditional milk has gone up 26.7% compared to 8.2% for oat milk. An analysis uncovered that a liter of regular milk now costs £1.45 - 1.60, up from £1, whereas a liter of one almond milk brand costs £1.00 - 1.23. Quorn’s meat-free alternative to chicken is also cheaper than its animal-based counterpart. Furthermore, a survey by UK consulting company Kantar of 11,000 Britons’ weekly meals expenses throughout the year showed vegan meals prepared at home cost 40% less than ones containing animal-people meat and dairy. For many frugal shoppers, plant-based options might naturally become products of choice due to the high cost of living. Researchers sign statement against use of animal-people as resources.
Academic philosophers Drs. Valéry Giroux and Martin Gibert from the University of Montreal in Canada, and Dr. François Jaquet from the University of Strasbourg in France, all vegans, released the “Montreal Declaration on Animal Exploitation,” on World Animal Day, October 4, 2022. To promote their welfare, the document declares that all animal-persons are sentient and harming them means violating “their most fundamental interests.” More than 500 academics from 39 countries in the field of moral and political philosophy have signed the declaration advocating for the immediate elimination of animal-folk abuse of all forms. This includes ending fishing, closing slaughterhouses and developing of plant-based food systems. Our accolades and appreciation, Drs. Valéry Giroux, Martin Gibert and François Jaquet for authoring this declaration, and our praises go to all signatories. May we now free our precious animal friends from inhumane suffering as we move towards an era of enlightened dietary choices, in God’s Wisdom.

I saw myself in the deep ocean. Although I was so scared that I was so deep down, still I could breathe normally and I was alive. Then, I noticed the ocean got so bright with beautiful Lights, which were so bright, like daylight! Suddenly, I saw a huge whale-person that was approaching me. At first, I was frightened because he was so huge, but then I thought, “Oh, that might be one of the whale-people they have told me about…” At the same time, he proved this with a wink from his very small and loving eye!
