Since the beginning of 2024, people from all corners of the world have continued to experience increasingly unstable weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and devastating disasters. With global warming continuing to escalate, studies show an extreme El Niño critical point could be reached and our lakes are warming towards the point of no return.
June 2024 set the hottest June record according to the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service. And at the end of July, the Earth experienced the four hottest days scientists have ever documented, sparking fears of reaching disastrous tipping points.
There have been strange lightning, cloud, and wind occurrences. Sometimes the images of these unsettling weather events have sent chills down our spines.
On April 15, 2024, citizens in Wuhan, China, saw the sky turn blood red for about an hour in the early morning. One commented that there was a layer of thick red fog shrouding the sky. It was an eerie sight to behold. About a month later, a similar blood-red sky was spotted in Zhoushan city, Zhejiang province in eastern China. “Oh! Is there something wrong with my eyes!?”
On the morning of April 18, 2024, the sky above Guangzhou city of Guangdong province, China, suddenly turned dark due to a violent storm. Dimsum Daily reported that, “Guangzhou experienced a surreal moment reminiscent of doomsday as the sky turned pitch black in a matter of seconds.” “Around 10 a.m. today (April 18), Guangzhou turned into night in seconds, like doomsday, triggering heated discussion among the public. According to the official account of the China Meteorological Administration, a bow echo squall line is sweeping across Guangdong, currently affecting Foshan, Qingyuan and other regions, and has already entered Guangzhou, turning day instantly into night, with a dull darkness in the sky. Strong convective weather with heavy thunderstorms and strong winds is coming, with the squall line continuing to move eastward. Zhuhai, Macau, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Zhongshan and other Pearl River Delta regions are to be hit next by violent storms.”
On July 17, 2024, in the city of Changhua in Taiwan (Formosa), there was shocking, flaming lightning accompanied by explosive thunder. Guan Media reported: “Every lightning was like a firework in the sky, making people exclaim: ‘The God of Thunder is showing off His power!’” and “Under the fierce thermal convection, the sky cracked with dazzling lightning, like a magic sword splitting the curtain of night.”
Meanwhile, on July 15, 2024, the United States also experienced extreme weather events. The National Weather Service reported that a “… long-lived complex of thunderstorms rolled across Iowa, Illinois and parts of Indiana. Widespread damaging winds of 60 to locally 100 miles per hour (~ 97 to 160 kilometers per hour) were observed within the line… With 27 tornadoes, this storm breaks the previous daily record for tornadoes in our forecast area.”
Just two months earlier, from May 6 – 10, 2024, a major tornado outbreak occurred across the Central and Southern United States. “From Oklahoma... That’s a tornado... To Iowa... Did you see it? To Tennessee... Violent tornado! Scenes of devastation across the country this week.” “Right now, I’m standing on the steps that should be leading way to this home, but it instead was ripped off its foundation and thrown on top of this car. This is the type of damage that we’re seeing widespread in this mobile home community.”
And even more devastation occurring in May 2024. “We’re going to begin this hour with another round of deadly tornadoes hitting the US. This one is… This is actually, what you’re seeing right there, just one of several twisters spotted across Iowa yesterday. Massive tornadoes like this one barreled across Iowa, leaving Greenfield, a city of around 2,000 residents devastated.” “Before I went down to the basement, I went all around my house and I prayed, prayed for God to keep us safe.” “This used to be a neighborhood full of homes and now it’s just piles and piles of debris. We see trees mangled, cars tossed and turned, and just the foundations of some buildings, people’s belongings, things like photographs that have been shredded up and just tossed around. Earlier today it was so quiet here, it was almost apocalyptic.”
These horrid images remind us of the numerous prophecies by many Saints and seers across the centuries. They carry similar messages, warning us that as the morality of humankind declines at the End Times that we are now experiencing, there will come a day of final judgement when Heaven’s wrath falls upon us and only a small percentage of the whole population will be able to survive this period. The following Cao Đài scripture is one among many that issue such warnings.
“Listen, the Kali Yuga (or Dharma-Ending Age) is about to end. Humans and animals will perish due to disasters; only 10 percent will remain. Alas! What a sadness! But no one can change the Divine plan. The only thing that you can do is to perform charitable deeds, to repent, to practice spiritually, and to come together to pray to God for mercy...”
The venerated Aulacese (Vietnamese) enlightened Master Huỳnh Phú Sổ (vegan), Founder of Hòa Hảo Buddhism, revealed: “Heaven makes upheavals and wars Of people, only two, three percent, remains Hurry up, practice spiritually with diligence So that you may be able to join [The Splendid and Glamorous] Gatherings.”
In “Sấm Trạng Trình” by Trạng Trình Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, the following is foretold:
“When stone stays afloat and feather sinks When the field is dried, the lake is empty, then the son finds his Father. When seven out of ten are dead, Of that, only one-third remains, then peace will come.”
It is believed that this prophecy refers to our current period of time in part due to reports of rocks floating on water in various places in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). In January 2018, a large floating rock weighing more than 600 kilograms was discovered in Nước Mặn canal, Cần Đước district, Long An province. In early 2021, two more large rocks that could float on the water were reported at Som Rông Pagoda, Sóc Trăng City. Local newspapers described the rocks as being 4.2 kilograms in weight.
The chaotic screening period is also described by the mysterious Aulacese (Vietnamese) Master, known as “Sư Vải,” the Fabric Monk (vegan) in His book, “Prophecy for the People.” He was believed to be the incarnation of the Buddha of Tây An (vegan), founder of Bửu Sơn Kỳ Hương Buddhism. In His book, Sư Vải wrote:
“During the chaos, God’s omen manifests: There will be thunder in the sky, shaking Heaven and Earth; many mountains will shatter, islands and mainlands submerged; the Earth will transform, whole continents will be buried and new ones will emerge. At that time, humankind will be extremely shocked. They will no longer shoot and kill one another. And this is the time when Buddhas and Heavenly Beings establish the Splendid and Glamorous Gatherings to select the virtuous. Humanity will reduce significantly: out of 10, only 2 virtuous people survive.”
The 14th-century Chinese strategist, philosopher and poet, Liu Bowen warned us that during the critical period of time, an enormous number of lives would be lost. “Out of 10,000 poor people, one thousand will remain. Out of 10,000 rich people, two or three will remain. If the rich and the poor do not repent, then the loss of life is near.” “The tribulation will pass and the world will enter a new Era after the Dragon and Snake years. […]”
2024 is the Year of the Dragon and 2025 is the Year of the Snake. Thus, Liu Bowen appears to be warning us that these two years may well be crucial for all, and humanity’s apparent material advancements and achievements could perish in the blink of an eye. “Towering multistory buildings busted high above the clouds into the sky. Roads are bustling with traffic and people make a din all night. Shallow-water carp eventually runs into trouble. One hundred years of prosperity vanish like a dream.”
The modern-day Malaysian metaphysic consultant and entrepreneur Dato Anthony Cheng is known for his accurate predictions about world events, social trends, and weather conditions. He shared with the public his concern about the challenges posed by the year 2024, which is ruled by the element of fire and the number nine (Period 9) according to Eastern fengshui and astrology.
“As the Period 9 arrives, issues such as natural and human-made disasters, and diseases shall become increasingly serious, subverting common sense. Disasters caused by high temperatures as well as the aftereffects of extreme low temperatures cannot be underestimated. It’s unlike natural disasters that occurred during the Earth Period 8, which were relatively mild and slow in progress. The disasters of the Fire Period 9 will arrive unexpectedly without warning, spreading rapidly and destructively. Fire can warm the world, but its center is empty, and so will turn very ruthless when provoked. This is Yin and Yang, and the way of nature.
Everything in the world has its cause and effect. The Period 9 is the last Heaven time period. The judgment time of Period 9 is arriving. I advise everyone, we must protect the Earth with good care, not to leave it to be sick beyond cure. Environmental protection has to be practiced in time, it is not just a slogan, nor is it a bargaining chip among powerful countries. Don’t wait until tragedy strikes to make amends. It will be beyond redemption by then. The speed of change of Heaven time far surpasses the progress of human civilization.
The turbulence of the Period 9 will affect our minds, and cause panic, confusion, and helplessness. But friends, please remember not to give up on yourselves. We have to believe that we’re capable of facing it. If every human being starts cultivating their mind, man-made disasters and conflicts in the whole world will decrease sharply, and peace will not be a dream. Only then the world will have the chance to survive the havoc and start anew. I am very worried that an even larger and devastating natural disaster will break out this year. I really hope that meritorious rewards will enable humankind to escape the calamity.”
“The Emergency Management Department of Heze City, Shandong Province (China) reported on July 6 that a tornado in this city had killed 5 people, injured 88 people, damaged 2,820 houses, affected many hectares of farmland and damaged dozens of power lines. China has been hit by extreme weather in recent months, from heavy rainfall causing deadly floods to scorching heatwaves.”
“Floods have affected more than 364,000 people, inundated farmland, damaged more than 2,600 roads and bridges, and caused numerous landslides in Pingjiang.”
“In the Cô Tô island district, strong winds were reaching levels 7 and 8, sometimes levels 10, 11, along with heavy rain from the night of July 22 to the morning of July 23. A ship that carry cement and a speedboat has sunk, 50 trees uprooted, a number of thatched houses and huts on the beach were blown away.”
