In today’s news, Afghanistan receives food aid from United States, India plants trees to increase climate resilience, Seychelles trials zero-emission buses, Belgian company builds two-floor house with 3D printing, Canadian high schooler runs to raise funds for hospital, vegan trademark registry soars in United Kingdom, and American couple saves piglet with limb defect.

The United States provides food assistance to Afghanistan.

The United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, donated US$49 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide food and monetary aid to almost one million vulnerable people in Afghanistan. These include individuals affected by natural disasters and conflicts, expectant and nursing mothers, and children in need of nutritional support. The contribution will also be used to enhance WFP’s vehicle capacity to deliver food aid to remote communities. Due to the impacts of COVID-19, WFP is increasing its support to reach 10.3 million Afghan citizens − three million more than originally planned this year. Our gratitude, United States and World Food Programme, for your invaluable assistance. May the gracious people of Afghanistan greet evermore peaceful tomorrows, in Allah’s infinite blessings.

Indian citizens join in tree-planting campaign.

Over two million people in northern India recently gathered to plant 250 million trees as part of the government’s efforts to help stop climate change, and to increase the country’s forest cover to a third of the nation by 2030. Social distancing was observed due to the COVID-19 situation, as government officials, volunteers and lawmakers also joined the endeavor. More than 20 million trees were planted along the banks of the Ganges River in Uttar Pradesh, as the state seeks to cover 15% of its land with forests in the next five years. India is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, and a Shining World Compassion Award recipient. Way to go, India, on your tree-planting program and widespread cooperation among your noble citizens. May the planted saplings bloom into healthy adult trees as your greening project brings forth many benefits, in Divine grace.

Up next on Noteworthy News, Seychelles trials zero-emission buses. We’ll pause for a moment to thank the detail-oriented bookkeepers, who manage the daily financial transactions for businesses and groups. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more meaningful news.

Hallo charming viewers, I’m Cock-a-Doodle-Dandy the vegan Rooster. Have you ever heard of the expression “strong as a bull”? Well, adopt a vegan diet and you can become just that! I have a cool tip on how you can soften your towels. All you have to do is run the towels through a regular washing cycle, then repeat, replacing soap with a cup of white vinegar. This simple fabric softener will eliminate the soapy remnants that make towels feel coarse. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!

Seychelles to test electric public transportation.

Seychelles Public Transport Corporation will trial two electric buses in 2021 to determine their efficiency and suitability for the East African archipelago nation. The electric buses will have less vibration, less noise and zero exhaust compared to their current fossil fuel-powered counterparts. They will also have much lower long-term operating costs and would be easier to maintain with their streamlined electric engines. This test is part of a US$500,000 electric mobility government project funded by the United Nations Global Environment Facility, which also includes the development of solar charging stations across the nation’s three most populated islands of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. Big applause, Seychelles and the United Nations Global Environment Facility. May your Earth-protecting initiative prove fruitful and your idyllic nation prosper, in Celestial splendor.

Prototype two-story house 3D-printed in Belgium.

Belgian sustainable building company, Kamp C, has 3D-printed a two-story house in Antwerp, Belgium, using Europe’s largest 3D printer. The 90-square-meter building is styled as a typical Belgium home and contains solar panels, a heat pump, underfloor heating and, in the future, will have a green roof. While this house took three weeks to build, Kamp C believes that the process could be completed in as little as two days. Minimal wire-mesh reinforcement was required due to the high-strength cement-like material used, thus saving 60% on the budget, time and material. The house was created for research purposes and highlights the many potentials of 3D-printed architecture. Bravo, Kamp C team, on your major advances in building technology. In Heaven’s support, may your project help to propel the eco-friendly building methods of the future into the now.

Thoughtful teenager runs his first marathon to raise money for his local hospital.

Owen Ostler, a 15-year-old from North Vancouver, Canada, has gathered at least US$11,900 for a new critical care unit at the Lions Gate Hospital by running a solo marathon doing laps around a local stadium. This exceeds his original target goal of US$10,000. Owen wanted to challenge himself and do something positive for the community during the COVID-19 lockdown. Having never taken part in endurance running before, he trained for two months before completing the 42-kilometer run. Speaking of his accomplishment, Owen said, “I never know if someone I know is going to need the help one day. And it’s always good to help out.” Congratulations on your amazing achievement, Owen Ostler. May everything you do be met with great success in God’s love.

Coming up, vegan trademark registry soars in United Kingdom. We’ll spend some time now to enjoy a Nanyin music performance, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, originating centuries ago from Fujian province, China. We’ll be right back with more encouraging news here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Encouraging News for a Hopeful World.

Vegan trademark registrations in the United Kingdom more than double.

A report by the UK commercial law firm EMW has revealed that 107 vegan trademarks were registered in the UK in 2019, which is an increase from 47 in 2018. This rise has been attributed to the nation’s rapidly growing plant-based sector, with the number of vegans living in the UK growing from 140,000 in 2014 to 600,000 in 2019. Multinational food company, Unilever, and supermarket chains, Lidl and Sainsbury’s, are among the registrants, as well as restaurants and other food suppliers looking to expand their plant-based offerings. Thank you, EMW, for the great news, and food suppliers, for your winning move into the vegan market. May the United Kingdom soon become a 100% vegan haven as your generous citizens lead evermore benevolent lifestyles, in the goodwill of the Providence.

American couple saves piglet with limb defect.

Founders of Ziggy’s Refuge Farm Sanctuary, Kristin Hartness and her fiancé Jay Yontz, recently flew to Miles City, Montana state, to save a piglet who would otherwise be euthanized, as she was born with two deformed back legs. The dedicated couple, who named their new rescue Hannah Montana, learned how to make prosthetics so that the little darling could walk. As Hannah grows quickly, Ms. Hartness and Mr. Yontz, both vegans, have to make new prosthetic molds every couple of weeks. After six months of care, “high-energy” Hannah now weighs over 45 kilograms and is thriving. Ziggy’s Refuge is currently tending to 90 special-needs farm animals, including pigs, chickens, cows, horses and goats. You have brought tears of gratitude to our eyes, Kristin Hartness and Jay Yontz. Heaven bless you and all involved, immensely. May spirited Hannah Montana have a future full of joy and loving friendships as we all learn to treasure our animal brethren, in the Divine path of compassion.

Looking for a fun and easy exercise? It’s now time to laugh your way to a six-pack with today’s joke called “Unemployment Office.”

Ben was having some deep thoughts on his job’s uncertain future at the unemployment office:

“You know, working at the unemployment office is a tense job... If you get fired, you still have to come in the next day.”

And now we have a heartline from Hsu Mei-Li in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Paying tribute to the Elixir - S.M. Celestial Jewelry Series 16 The Elixir of Immortality passes down innumerable eons.

The stubborn stones, adrift in the world, trip and stumble… Are tribulations destined for the stubborn stones?

Yet now, with one touch by God’s divine light, the many lives accumulated dust and filth are erased.

Each stone becomes a beloved spiritual pearl of God, freely sipping the Elixir of Immortality.

Hand in hand, we enter the New Land – the Holy Land of liberation.

Hsu Mei-Li from Taichung, Taiwan (Formosa)

Romantic Hsu Mei-Li, Our appreciation for the poetic homage to the magnetic, blue-hued Elixir jewels that Supreme Master Ching Hai designed. Even a glance at these intricate, soulful artworks will help us during our personal spiritual journey here on Earth.
