The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO), and investment company ADQ, both of the UAE, have launched the “Bridges of Hope” program with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the aim of assisting people with special needs in Egypt. The initiative will build 60 centers in rural areas to provide specialized training and support to allow better integration of uniquely abled individuals into society. Workshops by social workers and speech therapists will be held at the centers to identify and provide help to individuals in need. It will also offer programs to assist families to better understand and care for their special needs children. Egypt is a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace and Earth Conservation. Astronomers find asteroid on path of Earth’s orbit of sun.
A team of international astronomers led by Dr. Toni Santana-Ros of the University of Barcelona in Spain recently discovered an Earth Trojan asteroid or an asteroid sharing the Earth’s course in its orbit around the sun. Named Asteroid 2020 XL5, it is the second Earth Trojan asteroid that has been found. It measures 1.18 kilometers across and is expected to mirror the Earth’s trajectory for 4,000 years. It is unknown where it came from, and it has been suggested that human bases or scientific equipment could be installed on the asteroids in the future. The finding of the two asteroids is especially significant as they may contain an undisturbed record of the solar system’s formation. Robots and artificial intelligence (AI) support restoration of ancient Pompeii, Italy.
Scientists from the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) have inaugurated a project named RePAIR (Reconstructing the Past: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics meet Cultural Heritage), which will construct, train, and test an AI robot to piece together fresco fragments from the ancient city. The scientists will start with shattered wall frescoes whose original appearance is known to test out the robot’s capabilities. If it succeeds, it will move to two rooms with fragmented unknown wall frescoes so that the robot can help in their recovery. This project is supported by the European Commission with a €3.5 million grant and will begin by the summer of 2022. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. World-first study in Australia examines best way to treat cardiac arrest outside hospital.
An evidence-based randomized control trial study, involving 1,300 doctors, nurses and paramedics, will be conducted at 15 hospitals in Sydney and Wollongong, to conclude the best way to save lives post-cardiac arrest. The two-year study compares the traditional method of up to 30 minutes of on-the-scene treatment by paramedics, including use of mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (MCPR), before being transported to the hospital versus only 15 minutes of treatment with MCPR and other treatment modes before being taken to the hospital to receive additional life-saving advanced therapies. Co-chief investigator Dr. Brian Burns said, “The earlier you [a cardiac arrest victim] get good quality CPR, which improves flow to your brain and your heart, the better chance you have of survival.” Our sincere accolades, dedicated and noble Australian healthcare professionals for your important study. Kind senior secretly brings neighbors’ emptied trash cans to their garages.
For weeks, neighbors in Appleton, Wisconsin, United States, found their garbage cans magically returned to their garages on trash pickup day, saving them from walking up their icy and snowy driveways. Melody Luttenegger and her baby waited outside one winter day with a small gift as token of appreciation for the secret helper. Her 75-year-young neighbor, Dick Pontzloff, appeared, bringing her emptied trash can up the driveway. Mr. Pontzloff started riding his bicycle around the neighborhood after he retired and began doing good deeds unannounced. He even works when the temperature is -19 degrees Celsius outside. When discovered and interviewed by local media, Mr. Pontzloff shared, “Just be nice to all people. It’s just what you gotta do.” We wish you a happy retirement, gracious Dick Pontzloff. Plant-based canine-people food company THE PACK recently unveiled an advertising blitz in London, United Kingdom, that reminds that dog-people can eat vegan food as well. The playful promotional ads feature posters on the side of London phone boxes that speak to both humans and “doggies,” reminding them the four-footed friends are omnivores and offering canine-persons a “sample sniff.” The campaign draws on growing research about the health benefits experienced by canine-people enjoying a plant-based diet free from animal-person protein. The PACK co-founder Judy Nadel shared, “… we want to turn heads and get tails wagging across London with our latest campaign and let people know that eating a plant-based diet isn’t just for them, it’s for dogs too.” Such a wonderful idea, THE PACK, to encourage humans and their loving canine-people companions to switch to vegan food. Crow-people give special gifts to kind woman who feeds them.
When Tango Steinke moved to a townhouse in Virginia, United States, she found that she had some lovely crow-people neighbors, Doc and Dottie, who nested right behind her home. Warmhearted Ms. Steinke was already feeding squirrel-people and other bird-people, and soon started leaving peanuts for her new crow-person friends. Shy at first, Doc and Dottie soon started coming to Ms. Steinke’s bedroom window on the weekends to remind her it was time to feed them. The smart crow-people happily express their gratitude by bringing gifts to Ms. Steinke such as coins, buttons, soda tops and a marble. After two years, the lovely couple had a beautiful baby, who also became part of the family. We wish you many more years of lovely friendship, Tango Steinke, with your charming crow-person friends.
