Finland supports well-being of Lebanon’s vulnerable children.

Finland has donated €4.3 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to bolster their “No Lost Generation” program that aims at improving the welfare of Lebanon’s youth. To lessen instances of child labor and child marriage, the initiative will offer at-risk children skills development courses and non-formal education, as well as online learning opportunities and vocational training. The endeavor has components that enhances youth safety, provides cash assistance to strengthen a child’s economic situation, and offers psychosocial help. Our genuine praise and gratitude, Government of Finland, for your generous aid to the underprivileged Lebanese youth in their time of need. Many thanks also, UNICEF, for your global work that helps all minors have safer and better lives. May Allah bless the children of Lebanon with the best possible environment to grow and thrive.

Research finds vegan diet healthier than Mediterranean diet.

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that a low-fat vegan diet successfully improved several health markers compared to the Mediterranean diet, which is partially plant-based, but includes seafood, meat, eggs and dairy products. In the 16-week randomized crossover trial with 62 overweight adults, participants on the 100% plant-based diet lost an average 6 kilograms of body weight, considerably reduced cholesterol levels, and improved insulin sensitivity, while there were no significant changes in these measurements for those on the Mediterranean diet. Study author Dr. Hana Kahleova, Director of Clinical Research at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, stated that choosing plant-based eating is a great way to lose weight and get healthy. Our appreciation, Dr. Hana Kahleova and all involved in this valuable study. May everyone now embrace the vegan lifestyle for vibrant health, in God’s illuminating wisdom.

Up next, Australian marine World Heritage sites are among the planet’s largest carbon stores. We’ll just thank the diligent factory-workers on the assembly line, who perfect smartphone cases by removing any uneven surfaces or blemishes to make them smooth for consumers. Please stay for more giving news on Supreme Master Television.

Hi, sea-loving friends, how have you been? I'm Beatriz the vegan Cuban Greater Funnel-Eared Bat. I look fabulous because I’m vegan. Here is a useful tip for your lovely baby. Did you know that massaging your newborn may help calm them down? Studies suggest that babies who are massaged cry less and sleep better. To soothe your infant, undress him or her and use slow, firm strokes to rub their back, chest, face, arms and legs. Before you apply any lotions or oils, make sure you check with your pediatrician to see if they are safe. You can also stroke your newborn’s tummy in a clockwise motion or move their legs as if bicycling to alleviate some of the pressure from tummy bloating. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Thank you for your attention, and here’s the weather around our beautiful globe.

Australia’s marine World Heritage sites contain some of the world’s largest carbon sinks.

A new UNESCO report co-authored by Dr. Oscar Serrano, a marine ecology expert from Australia’s Edith Cowan University, states that mangrove, seagrass, and tidal marsh ecosystems in the country’s six marine World Heritage sites hold 40% of the total estimated 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s “blue carbon” stores. The study looked at carbon housed in 50 marine World Heritage sites globally. The largest carbon repositories in Australia are the Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Coast, and Shark Bay World Heritage areas. Such ecosystems cover 1% of the world’s surface but represent nearly half of the carbon dioxide that the planet’s oceans absorb, at about a 30-times faster rate than rainforests. Awesome news, Australia, on being identified as a blue carbon hotspot. In Divine grace, we pray for continued efforts to protect such precious environments.

Plastic waste entering rivers rapidly moves across thousands of kilometers.

A study by the Zoological Society of London and the University of Exeter, both in the United Kingdom, has discovered that plastic bottles can travel along waterways for thousands of kilometers within a few months. Twenty-two 500 milliliter bottles containing GPS devices were placed at various points of India’s Ganges River, and three were released into the Bay of Bengal. It was observed that within 94 days, one of the bottles traveled 2,845 kilometers. The scientists estimate that 80% of plastics in the oceans likely originated from rivers and believe their valuable findings could better our understanding of how plastic pollution gets into our seas. Our appreciation, United Kingdom researchers, for highlighting the global issue of plastic waste. May all nations and citizens work in unison to ensure our planet is clean and healthy by choosing only sustainable and reusable resources, in Celestial delight.

Indian roller-skating star shines.

Priyanka Dewan from India discovered her passion for roller-skating at just eight-years-old. Now at 20, she is an international roller-skating champion. Despite having an intellectual disability, the enthusiastic sportswoman excels in competitions with the constant encouragement of her ever-supportive mother. Ms. Dewan competed at the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, winning a gold, silver, and bronze medal. When recently interviewed by the BBC, Ms. Dewan explained the meaning of the term “special” that is used for the intellectually disabled saying, “There is no difference. The only difference is that people call us ‘special’. But we are just like others.” It warms our hearts to hear of your inspirational achievements, Priyanka Dewan. May we all use our God-given talents to achieve our dreams just like you have done. May Heaven bless you and your family always and in all ways.

Up next on Noteworthy News, Colorado, USA governor declares March 20, 2021, as MeatOut Day. We’ll take a moment to be grateful to those people in our lives who have left a deep impression upon us, inspiring us to be good and do good to others. We’ll return with more uplifting news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Motivating News for a Progressive World.

MeatOut Day declared by Colorado, USA governor.

The Honorable Jared Polis has proclaimed March 20, 2021, as “MeatOut Day” to promote a plant-based diet to his state’s citizens. MeatOut Day was started by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) in 1985 as a way to inform people of the benefits of avoiding meat. Governor Polis’s long-term partner, also known as Colorado’s first gentleman, Marlon Reis has been vegan for over 15 years and is a dedicated animal rights activist, who is also working hard to help bring the important topic of animal welfare to the American public’s attention. Colorado is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Bravo, and thank you, Governor Jared Polis and Marlon Reis. We pray that your official support of a plant-based diet further leads the way to the whole world adopting the compassionate, planet-saving, vegan lifestyle. May you both be forever blessed by the Providence.

Loyal dog stays with injured hiker for seven nights in the freezing Alps.

Michele Benedet, 33, from northeastern Italy and his dog companion Ash recently set out on their yearly trek into the foothills of the region’s Julian Alps. During their journey, Mr. Benedet slipped and broke his ankle. With no cellphone signal in the area, he was unable to call for help. After his girlfriend reported their disappearance, a helicopter rescue team found Mr. Benedet. He was conscious and lying on the ground with faithful Ash by his side. Mr. Benedet withstood the frigid temperatures by covering himself with leaves and hugging loving Ash for warmth, whose company he credits for his survival. Thank God for your amazing resilience, Michele Benedet, and wishing you a speedy recovery. We salute you, noble, life-saving Ash. May you both enjoy many more safe nature hikes together, under Heaven’s watchful gaze.

Laughing is healthy for your mind and heart. Enjoy our joke of the day called, “Skipping School.”

After missing school for a day, Clare was asked by her teacher:

“Clare, why didn’t you come to school yesterday?”

“My dad is in the hospital.”

After hearing this, the teacher understood that she had a credible reason for not coming. Then, a week later he asked Clare:

“Is your dad still in the hospital?”

“Yes. He’s a doctor.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Joy in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Master, Watching Supreme Master TV made me understand how loving and precious animals are. I rescued an abused dog a few years ago. Since I adopted him, I suddenly fell in love with meditation and spiritual practice. I fed him vegan food and he loved it. Having been abused in the past, he was afraid of humans at the beginning, but he became lively and happy later on. A few months ago, he fell ill and died. On the day of his passing, I said to him, “Wait for me in the New Spiritual Land. We will meet again!” Thanks to Master and Supreme Master TV, we have learned how to truly treat animals with love. Thank You, Master. I love You. Joy from Taiwan (Formosa)

Tender-hearted Joy, Our gratitude for relating this moving tale of the love you and your beloved dog companion shared.

Supreme Master Ching Hai has a reply for you: “Precious Joy, my heart goes out to you as I know the loss felt when our beloved animal friends pass on to Heavenly realms. We are truly blessed to love and be loved by these loyal and giving beings. May the Buddha be your Light now and always and may all your faithful Taiwanese (Formosan) co-citizens be graced by the love of our deserving animal co-inhabitants.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline
