Qatari organization provides humanitarian aid to Ethiopian refugees in eastern Sudan.

The Qatar Red Crescent Society, a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, delivered 62 tons of relief packages to Sudan to be distributed by Sudanese Red Crescent Society. The shipment contained 1,000 food parcels with each parcel containing 48 kilograms of essential food items such as flour, rice, lentils and salt. In addition, water sanitation devices and medical items were also provided as part of the shipment to support emergency healthcare and COVID-19 control efforts. This aid comes as part of several phases of the relief project and is estimated to help about 50,000 Ethiopian refugees living in Sudan. Our warm appreciation, Qatar Red Crescent Society and Sudanese Red Crescent Society, for your noble assistance to the displaced Ethiopian people in Sudan. In the blessings of Allah, may all asylum seekers soon find security and peace in their lives.

COVID-19 was leading cause of death in early 2021 in United States.

As reported by the US-based Kaiser Family Foundation, from December 2020 to February 2021, COVID-19 was found to be the main reason for fatalities in the US, with heart disease and cancer being second and third. For the whole year of 2020, however, the virus was the third principal cause of life lost according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with the illness taking around 375,000 lives. Groups with some of the highest losses were males, senior adults age 85 or older, African Americans and Native Americans. Thank you, Kaiser Family Foundation and the Centers for Disease Control, for the information. Our heartfelt condolences to the families whose loved ones passed away due to COVID-19. We pray for their souls as well as for the living, especially the most vulnerable. In God’s mercy, may humanity practice loving kindness to all beings through the vegan diet, thus creating a pandemic-free future.

Up next, non-profit creates wildflower corridors for insects in the United Kingdom. We’ll just give thanks to the computer security specialists, who protect our computer networks from unauthorized access, while ensuring compliance with regulations. When we return, more giving news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Conservation group in United Kingdom creates insect corridors.

UK non-profit Buglife, which is focused on protecting insects, has started establishing wildflower corridors across the nation as part of its B-Lines initiative to help pollinators travel between areas. Currently, their habitats are divided by roads and developments, but the charity’s team has made a map of proposed routes where wildflowers can be planted. So far, the project has already led to the sighting of a rare bumblebee in Cardiff town. Citizens can also participate by allowing their lawns to grow or by creating a small herb garden. According to Buglife’s Paul Hetherington, the actualization of even 10% of the suggested network will increase the population of beneficial insects. Furthermore, it will give them a way out of overheated habitats caused by global warming. Way to go, Buglife! May your caring project help bee and other insect communities bloom, in Celestial kindness.

Ancient tree found in New Zealand reveals climate history.

A company in New Zealand named Top Energy recently uncovered a fossilized kauri tree while excavating a hillside for a geothermal power plant. The 20-meter-long cone-bearing kauri, which had lived for 1,600 years, was the only one found so far that existed during the glacial period between 13,000 and 25,000 years ago. It will give valuable information on what the climate was like each year during that time, with clues about the rainfall, humidity, soil moisture and more. The towering kauri tree is considered to be sacred by the indigenous Maori people. Thank you, Top Energy and researchers involved. With renewed awe of the Earth’s great trees past and present, may such discoveries also help us to better understand our Earth’s climate and act urgently to preserve all life.

Altruistic teen assists those in need with essential supplies.

Seventeen-year-old Alexa Rhodes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, recently put together and delivered 160 backpacks for individuals experiencing homelessness in the city. The durable, waterproof backpacks each included over 40 necessities such as personal hygiene products, hand sanitizers and a water-resistant blanket. They were assembled by Alexa and 51 younger students, who are enrolled in an entrepreneurial leadership program at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Ms. Rhodes began the project as part of this business class initiative and in 2020 developed it into her own non-profit called H.E.L.P.I.N.G. The Homeless Backpacks to encourage people to support those in need. Our warm applause and appreciation, Alexa Rhodes and others involved. May you inspire many more to follow your noble ideal of helping others, in Divine goodness.

Coming up, study shows veganism is rapidly increasing in Belgium. Let’s pause for a moment to be thankful for the umbrella makers, for allowing us to be outdoors during the rainy days. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television.

Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Good News for a Habitable World.

Veganism soaring in Belgium.

Psychologists at the United Kingdom’s University of Bath discovered that the number of people contented with plant-based products in Belgium rose from 44% to 51% between 2019 and 2020. In partnership with Belgian non-profit GAIA (Global Action in the Interest of Animals), the results were obtained through polling 1,000 people in two surveys. This fast increase is reflected in such supermarkets as Lidl, which has expanded their vegan offerings by 11 new items in the nation. Furthermore, Plenitude, the world’s largest scale plant to produce fungus-based protein for meat alternative products, will be established in the city of Ghent in 2021. We applaud you, forward-thinking Belgian citizens. In Heaven’s light, may a global shift to the satisfying vegan lifestyle fully bring us into a world of compassion and happiness.

Taiwanese (Formosan) village supports feline well-being.

The newly established Cat Public Office in New Taipei City’s Houtong Village in Taiwan, also known as Formosa, focuses on furthering the welfare of hundreds of homeless cats in the area. Services that are provided include monitoring, healthcare and microchip implants, and furthermore, the facility will function as a coordination center for volunteer work. Beautifully decorated with a kitty mural, the office also cultivates catnip, a plant that felines love for its calming benefits. The overall goal is to turn the town that already attracts visits from cat lovers into a feline paradise, while informing the public about the proper care of these adorable beings. Our sincere thankfulness for these humane efforts, New Taipei City government. May all our animal friends be respected and well looked after, in Divine protection.

Let our daily joke help you weather things a little bit better! It’s entitled “Modern Consideration.”

Craig and Danny were discussing the topic of marriages.

“It’s interesting how different times define different ways to help you consider marrying someone…”

“What do you mean?”

“Like, for example, nowadays, before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with slow internet to see who they really are.”

And now we have a heartline from Zhi-Sheng in China:

I’m from the animal rescue center of the Samantabhadra Great Vow Life-Protecting organization, an animal rescue site and shelter. I hope people will help the animals and provide them with an abundant, free, and happy home. Coincidently on one occasion, I had the honor to learn that Supreme Master and the Supreme Master TV team were advocating veganism, environmental protection, and saving our animal friends. I adore Your ideals dearly. Now that our earthly home is facing imminent catastrophes, your TV is awakening all people who have compassion, love and a conscience. I began to help and rescue animals in 2016. Every day, I’ve seen homeless animals wandering the streets starving, facing the fear and danger of being sold to the slaughtering houses and getting killed every day. Seeing all this, I could not eat or sleep in peace. Merciful love emerged in my heart, and I made up my mind to help them find a shelter with love and warmth. Thus I embarked on the journey of animal-rescuing. It’s difficult and challenging, but I did not give up, because I believe in “When the buying stops, the killing can too.”

Through getting in touch with animals, I came to appreciate the preciousness of life, and from them, I have experienced all kinds of lessons on the ephemerality of life, joys and sorrows, birth, aging, sickness, and death. I hope that all people in the world would join efforts to help and rescue all animals and save our beautiful earthly home. I’ve learned from the animals about thankfulness, humility, and unconditional love. I hope that humankind would wake up and respect all living beings, including animals, stop eating meat and choose the noble vegan diet. Let us live harmoniously with the animals; let us live in an earthly home that’s loving, peaceful, and free of war and killing. Zhi-Sheng from China

Tender-hearted Zhi-Sheng, We thank you for writing of your experiences and extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for all your kind and caring actions towards our noble animal friends. May others heed your words and adopt the vegan lifestyle so we may all enjoy world peace. We pray the Heavens infinitely bless you and the mindful Chinese people. In Universal Love, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has a heart-warming response for you: “Beneficent Zhi-Sheng, true caring souls like yourself look out for the animals and understand that each being’s life is so very precious. My thanks to you and others at the animal rescue center for saving our animal co-inhabitants from those who wish to do them harm and for loving them so much. May Buddha’s glorious Light shine upon you, your center’s residents and regal China.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline
