Japan assists Pakistan during COVID-19 pandemic.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has pledged US$2.16 million to help Pakistan lessen the spread of COVID-19. Consisting of a US$1.62 million grant through the United Nations Children’s Fund, and a US$540,000 grant through the International Organization for Migration, funding will be used to provide equipment and supplies, as well as technical support per the request of the Pakistani government. This much needed aid will increase the country’s ability to track and treat those affected by the virus, plus reduce fatalities, thereby ensuring a continuation of health services as well as economic and social stability. Thank you, Japan, for providing vital assistance to our Pakistani sisters and brothers. May Heaven bless all citizens on Earth to be protected, especially by adopting the vegan lifestyle that would prevent such pandemics from occurring again.

Qatari charity provides food aid to Syrian refugees in Iraq.

The Qatar Red Crescent Society, a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, distributed 4,800 food baskets to Syrian refugees and displaced Iraqi citizens in the northern cities of Mosul and Erbil. In collaboration with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society and local authorities, a total of over US$260,000 worth of food aid was gifted to 26,400 beneficiaries. Each food basket weighed 19 kilograms and included grocery staples such as rice, bulgur, lentils, sugar, vegetable oil and tomato paste. Our warm thankfulness, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Iraqi Red Crescent Society, and all facilitators of this caring project. We pray for all the vulnerable people in Iraq to have peace and security, in the kindness of the Providence.

Up next, Ireland excels in green energy output. We’ll take a moment to thank the courtroom artists, who work quickly to capture scenes from court proceedings for record-keeping. When we return, more visionary news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hi, selfless friends, it’s me, Nigel the Nilgiri Tahr! Since my diet shift to vegan, everybody loves me. Now you try! I’m sure you also love a peaceful atmosphere like I do. Sometimes, it can be noisy living in an apartment complex with tenants residing next to, above and below you. Since soft surfaces absorb sound, try carpeting your floors or adding furnishings like cushions, blankets and fabric wall decor. This will make your living environment a cozier one that is more calming to the ears. Thank you for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around the world!

Ireland’s wind energy production becomes the country’s main electricity source.

Wind energy in Ireland was responsible for about 44% of demand during the first three months of 2020, surpassing natural gas. Data published by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland showed that wind farms in the country harvested a total of 3,390 gigawatt-hours of electricity during this period, equivalent to the energy demand of 737,000 homes. Furthermore, the Irish wind energy sector has grown by nearly 17% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, and is projected to outpace its 2019 record of supplying one-third of the country’s electricity demand. Private companies and the government of Ireland are reviewing more potential offshore projects, which will help the country meet its goal of a 70% renewable share by 2030. Great news, Ireland. May God bless such unwavering determination as yours to create a cleaner world.

Scientists make major advancement in silicon microchip technology.

Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, in the United States have created a one-nanometer thick special coating for silicon that would dramatically reduce the amount of electricity consumed by memory and processor chips in electronics. The new ultrathin material would also help to fit more components into less space. Moreover, more advanced sensors and batteries could be produced with it, an achievement that was previously not thought to be possible. A respectful applause, researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, for your exciting discovery in the field of microelectronics. Such engineering progress makes us look forward even more to our Golden Age future, illuminated by the Divine.

Seventy-nine-years-young Egyptian doctor treats the less privileged.

Motivated by a heartrending incident 44 years ago in which a ten-year-old boy with diabetes set himself alight so that his poverty-stricken mother need not buy him insulin anymore, Dr. Mohamed Meshali vowed to dedicate his life to helping patients who cannot afford medical treatment. Since then, he has been providing healthcare to the underprivileged, traveling to his three clinics daily by train, and working up to 12 hours per day. A visit to one of his clinics costs only about US$0.50. The humble doctor deems the medical profession to be a humanitarian one and hopes to help many more disadvantaged community members. Our utmost admiration and gratitude, Dr. Mohamed Meshali, for your altruistic care of fellow human beings. May you always be loved and protected, in Allah’s abundant benevolence. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Tearfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Dr. Mohamed Meshali, plus a US$20,000 loving contribution to support your saintly efforts in serving the most vulnerable, in all love, respect and gratitude. Heaven is touched by your noble soul. May you be immensely blessed by Allah.”

Coming up, Australian artist campaigns for animal leather alternatives. We pause to be grateful for having numerous options to learn new skills and hobbies on the internet, free of charge. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Amiable News for a Considerate World.

Celebrated vegan activist joins animal rights group for anti-leather campaign.

Professionally known as DJ Tigerlily, Dara Hayes, a popular Australian disc jockey, wellness advocate and producer, has partnered with Australia’s Animal Liberation Victoria (ALV) in a vegan leather fashion campaign. A video features Strongheart, a bovine saved from an abattoir holding pen at five-days-old, who is now enjoying his life as a full-grown bull with other rescued individuals at ALV’s Liberation Sanctuary. DJ Tigerlily informs consumers that leather is a product from the meat and dairy industries, and urges all to choose environmentally friendly leather alternatives made from pineapple leaves, cork, and many other eco-materials. As part of the campaign, posters featuring DJ Tigerlily and Strongheart will be displayed across Melbourne city proclaiming: “Strongheart’s skin belongs to him.” Pledge to go leather-free and find out more at leathertruth.com Our loving appreciation, DJ Tigerlily and Animal Liberation Victoria, for speaking up for our kind bovine friends. May we treat our lovely co-inhabitants right by making humane choices, in God’s love.

China’s capital takes steps to protect wildlife.

The Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress passed a regulation to forbid the trade and consumption of wild animals, in an effort to safeguard wildlife and public health. Entitled “Beijing Wildlife Protection and Management Regulations,” the new law came into effect on June 1, 2020, prohibiting the consumption, hunting, breeding, killing, trading and transporting of protected wild animals, including 17 newly added wild aquatic species to the over 500 types of terrestrial animals listed in the Beijing Wildlife Conservation Directory. Under the new legislation, violators will be severely punished and can face steep fines. For example, those who engage in hunting are subject to a maximum penalty of approximately US$2,800. High praises, Beijing, for your wise new law that will save both animal and human lives. In Heaven’s goodness, may it be well implemented as a stepping stone towards a vegan world, the key to total public health safety. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion to Beijing, with high salute, heartfelt gratitude and praises for your benevolent ruling to safeguard your cherished citizens and precious animals. May your city be always shielded in Divine mercy.”

Let's brighten up with a smile and a joke of the day called, “Following Orders.

Suzanne was asking her husband to help with buying a few things from the grocery store: “Honey, could you please go to the shop and get a carton of coconut milk? If they have avocados, get six.”

After a while Allen, her husband, was back with the purchase. While holding six cartons of coconut milk, he happily said: “They had avocados!”
