In today’s news, Eswatini receives food aid from Japan, scientists determine potentially life-hosting planets in our galaxy, Fiji to implement ban on polystyrene, research finds care robots enhance senior mental wellness, boy carries uniquely-abled friend to school for a decade in Âu Lạc (Vietnam), Nestlé launches vegan version of its popular chocolate drink in Europe, and United States charity equips fire departments with pet oxygen masks.

Japan provides vital food assistance to Eswatini.

The Japanese government, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has contributed US$1.9 million to the United Nations World Food Programme that will deliver food aid to approximately 30,000 Emaswati families for six months. COVID-19-related effects, droughts, and poor harvests have made the support especially needed now. Recipients will receive monthly food baskets containing beans, cereals and vegetable oil. Commenting on the donation, the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Eswatini, His Excellency Norio Maruyama, said, “Our joint efforts will propel our cooperation in food security to new heights and strengthen our friendship further.” Our accolades, Japan, for your generous relief, especially during this urgent time, and thank you also, World Food Programme. May the peaceful Emaswati people soon have increasingly joyous and abundant lives, in Heaven’s infinite blessings.

Scientists find 24 planets in Milky Way galaxy suitable for life.

A research project, led by planetary scientist Dr. Dirk Schulze-Makuch of Washington State University in the United States, has found 24 “superhabitable” planets, all more than 100 light years away, that may have conditions better able to support life than our world. The scientists checked 4,500 planets using criteria to identify those around 10% larger than Earth, orbiting a star similar to our sun or one that is smaller and cooler, and having a mean surface temperature five degrees Celsius higher than Earth’s, among other factors. Their observations will enable scientists to continue researching them as a starting point when the next generation of telescopes become available. Exceptional news, Dr. Dirk Schulze-Makuch and co-scientists involved, on pinpointing these superhabitable planets. May future research lead to greater knowledge of our celestial neighbors, as we delve deeper into the wonders of the Cosmos.

Up next, Fiji to implement ban on polystyrene. We’ll take a moment to thank tapers who seal joints between plasterboard or other wallboards to prepare wall surfaces for painting or papering. Will return with more soothing news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television.

Hooray, treasured friends, it’s me, Chase the vegan Common Waxbill! My body thanks me every day. Why? Because I give it the best fuel, PLANTS! Be vegan and do something good for your body. I have a helpful tip for you today. For those with infants, it’s best not to microwave their bottle as many microwaves do not heat things evenly. “Hot spots” may be created in the baby formula that can cause burns in your baby’s mouth. Try warming the formula by immersing the bottle in a bowl of warm water or running warm tap water over it. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Remember to check the temperature on your hand or wrist before you feed it to your baby. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Fiji forbids polystyrene products.

Effective the beginning of 2021, the non-biodegradable substance also known as styrofoam, that is often used to produce food and fragile item packaging, is prohibited by Fiji’s Climate Change Act (Act). Passed in 2019, the Act addresses the nation’s global warming response and the menace of plastic pollution entering the Pacific Ocean. Aside from polystyrene, the law prohibited single-use plastic bags starting in 2020 and also raised an existing levy on low-density polyethylene plastic bag purchases to almost 25 US cents this year. Several other Pacific Island countries have likewise outlawed single-use plastic bags. Our admiration and respect, Fiji, for your determination to restore our invaluable environment. In Heaven’s grace, may governments worldwide swiftly take significant steps to return our planet to a pristine state.

Investigation shows better mental health in elderly with robot companion.

Trials held in Japan and the United Kingdom at senior care homes demonstrated that residents who interacted with Pepper, a “culturally competent” robot, for up to 18 hours in a two-week period had appreciable improvement in their mental wellness and a decrease in loneliness. Developed by project partner SoftBank Robotics, Pepper can move autonomously, gesture with robotic arms, conduct conversations, and discover an individual’s interests. The study was co-funded by the European Union, a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring laureate, and the Japanese government, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, and led by the University of Genoa in Italy, which created the robot’s artificial intelligence. Many thanks to all involved in this intriguing study. May our beloved wise elders be blessed to live peaceful and joyful golden years, in God’s benevolence.

Kind Aulacese or Vietnamese teen carries friend to school for 10 years.

Nguyễn Tất Minh from Thanh Hóa in Âu Lạc (Vietnam) was born without legs, yet for the past decade has attended school daily. His steadfast friend, Ngô Minh Hiếu, has graciously carried him on his back to and from school as well as between classes. Hiếu has never waivered in his mission and says, “Minh gives me more strength to accomplish what I want myself.” The pair have now completed the 12th grade with high exam scores and intend to continue their studies. The president of Thanh Hóa city gave the two young men each a merit certificate and praised both students’ commitment to academic improvement. We appreciate the unwavering deep-hearted care shown to your friend, Ngô Minh Hiếu. May you both always be healthy and protected, in the boundless mercy of the Buddha. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Lovingly present Ngô Minh Hiếu the Shining World Hero Award, with a lot of love and gratitude for your selfless commitment to your friend, plus US$1,000 for each of you ##as a loving gift for your study needs. May Heaven shield and shower blessings to both of you always.”

Coming up, Nestlé launches vegan version of its popular chocolate beverage in Europe. We’ll pause now to enjoy folk singing from Italy’s Sardinia region called Cantu a tenore, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more exceptional news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Friendly News for an Amiable World.

Nestlé unveils plant-based chocolate drink in Europe.

The Swiss food company is rolling out a vegan version of its popular Nesquik ready-to-drink beverage that has the United Kingdom-based Vegan Society’s certification. The plant-based refreshment is made from peas, oats and sustainably-sourced cocoa and will first debut in Hungary, Spain and Portugal, and then other European countries. It follows several other animal-free drinks that have been released on different continents by Nestlé. The firm has approximately 300 experts working on the research and development of plant-based items. Way to go, Nestlé, for this addition to your vegan portfolio. May all food and beverage companies soon offer compassionate product lines, as the world’s people ever-increasingly make the wise and loving choice of the life-sustaining vegan way.

Nonprofit provides life-saving oxygen masks for animals.

Since 2011, the Emma Zen Foundation has donated over 7,500 animal oxygen masks to fire departments and first responders in the United States to help animal companions that suffer from smoke asphyxiation and breathing issues during emergencies such as home fires. The masks have saved cats, dogs, miniature pigs, guinea pigs and an iguana. Established by Debra Jo Chiapuzio, a former pet first aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructor, the foundation was named after Emma Zen, a sweet dog that was saved from a wildfire in Southern California and adopted by Ms. Chiapuzio. The charity also offers various pet first aid and emergency preparedness courses to the public to advance animal companion safety. Our heartfelt gratitude, Debra Jo Chiapuzio and the Emma Zen Foundation. May we be caring guardians of our animal brethren and protect all lives, in God’s immeasurable love. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Emma Zen Foundation the Shining World Compassion Award, plus US$10,000 to humbly contribute to the noble endeavor. May the Divine help and bless you, as well as all involved.”

Laughter is contagious, so share the fun with the joke of the day entitled “Moon Reservation.”

“Hey Mark, I dare you to guess. Why couldn’t the astronaut book a room on the moon?”

“Because it was full!?”

And now we have a heartline from Pierre Landehoué in Benin:

In 2018, floods caused me to lose my entire crop. It was a hard year to get through, but with the help of God, my wife and children, we managed to get through the hard time.

In 2019, before the new harvest, I dreamed of our Master. I offered Her a bowl of water to drink and wanted to wash Her dusty feet. Master refused and said, “You have no time to lose, go to your field and harvest your corn immediately.” Then I woke up. It was four o'clock in the morning. I woke up my family. We went out into the fields and started harvesting corn. We slept there at night so as not to waste time going home. Farmers who passed by my field were surprised that I was clearing my field one week before the harvest started. When I told them about my dream, they laughed at me and went on their way. After three days, the corn was safely stored. Two days later, it started to rain heavily. It rained for 10 days with few interruptions. A large amount of corn and millet in the fields spoiled due to the wetness and became inedible for humans. Master, I thank You with all my heart for Your advice. I am full of love for You and have all confidence in You. Your devoted student, Pierre Landehoué from Benin

Blessed Pierre, Thank you for sharing this heartwarming story! It is an inspiration to us all to be better practitioners and have faith in Master. We are ever grateful for all the miracles on the path and hope that others find theirs too by seeking first the Kingdom of God within. We sincerely pray for Master’s health and safety as She continues Her mission on Earth – to save beings from the never-ending karmic cycle and elevate our world and the universe to higher levels of consciousness. May you and the affectionate people of Benin always be in communication with the Divine while enjoying life’s utmost fulfillment, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master said: “Faithful Pierre, the Beninese are pure at heart and I am glad for the chance to visit your vibrant homeland previously. When we trust in God, all will be arranged as it should be. Heaven’s Blessing in abundance to you and your loving co-citizens of Benin.”
