Considering the multitude of economic and environmental benefits associated with green buildings, many more architects, engineers and infrastructure developers in Malaysia are embracing and implementing the concept of environmentally-friendly structures. Since the GBI’S introduction, Malaysian cities are experiencing a proliferation of new construction and renovation projects, which embrace environmentally-friendly concepts, such as harnessing renewable energy, maximizing the use of natural sunlight, implementing rain harvesting methods as well as using recycled materials.
