In today’s news, Qatar Charity provides relief assistance to Pakistan’s Afghan refugees, Korea requires masks in public spaces, Paris, France to expand its greenery with more trees, parks and gardens, survey shows electric vehicle owners have 50% less maintenance costs, British man draws animal companion portraits to aid homeless, almost all first-time plant-based meat buyers during pandemic plan a repurchase, and Australian greater gliders now reclassified as three different species.

Qatar Charity supplies Pakistan’s Afghan refugees with humanitarian assistance.

In collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Qatar Charity, a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, has provided 3,400 packages of food aid and personal hygiene products to displaced Afghans in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, benefiting about 15,400 people. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in partnership with local authorities, Qatar Charity has also distributed 4,000 parcels of hygiene items and supplies to quarantine centers and rural health facilities across Pakistan. To further the organization’s global aid project, Qatar Charity has entered into agreements with various international agencies and United Nations organizations to support Lebanon, Palestine, Bangladesh, Sudan, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Chad and Kenya to address the coronavirus’ impacts on the vulnerable. Our sincere appreciation, Qatar Charity and UNHCR, for assisting uprooted Afghans and for all the noble work that you do. May all be protected during this unprecedented time requiring global unity, in Allah’s benevolence.

Korea mandates masks as COVID-19 countermeasure.

The nation is now issuing fines to people in public spaces who are not wearing a mask, wearing one under their nose, or using a scarf or alternate face-covering that cannot protect people from the COVID-19 virus. Violators face a penalty of up to US$90. Department stores and other facilities could be penalized up to US$2,700 if their patrons are not obeying the law. Children under 14, individuals with certain medical or mental conditions, and those at swimming pools and public baths are exempt. As winter approaches, Seoul city officials have been disseminating informational leaflets on the streets and reminding people to put on masks to safeguard everyone. Our gratitude, Korea, for implementing this strict life-saving public health measure. May we all do our part to protect ourselves and others by practicing good hygiene, in the Divine’s elevating grace.

Up next, Paris to expand its greenery with more trees, parks and gardens. We are going to thank histologic technicians who perform laboratory procedures to prepare patient tissue specimens for microscopic examination. We’ll be right back, with more glorious news on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo, charming viewers, I’m ChaCha the vegan Chukar, and I believe that all of us have a compassionate heart. So how about showing it outwardly every day by being vegan? I have a cool tip to help you get your car going during winter months. It can be harder to start your car engine in cold temperatures, and it doesn’t always mean that your car battery is dead if the engine doesn’t turn on after one attempt. Try switching on your radio, high beams, or turn signals for a few minutes to warm up the battery. This should help to start your engine again. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!

Paris to increase city’s green areas.

France’s capital city is set to add to its green spaces by planting 170,000 trees and augment the size of its gardens and parks by 30 hectares. The project will help cool the city during the hot summer, improve the quality of life of Parisians, and reduce the effects of climate change. Five urban forests will be planted and 100 “oasis streets” with lush living walls will be made near schools or in areas that don’t have greenery. Tree lined promenades will also be created at the Canal Saint Martin and Canal de l’Ourcq, and more. Such refreshing news, Paris, on the further greening of your magnificent city. May your newly planted trees and gardens flourish as they bless your citizens with serenity and fresh cool air, in addition to providing homes to countless animal friends.

Electric vehicle drivers save 50% on maintenance costs.

Consumer Reports, an American nonprofit consumer advocacy organization, recently released its reliability survey results that show over a car’s lifetime, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles have 50% less repair and upkeep expenses than gasoline-powered models. The survey calculated the cost per mile of repairs over the vehicle’s expected lifetime, which was set at 200,000 miles (321,000 kilometers). In a separate study by the entity, it was determined that electric models produce on average 60% less greenhouse gas emissions than gasoline-powered ones in the United States. The analysis took into consideration the pollutants created by the power plants that supply the electricity. Thank you, Consumer Reports, for bringing to light the large cost savings to our pockets and the environment from electric automobile ownership. May greener cars be embraced globally as we give thanks for the remarkable eco-innovations of our time, in God’s light.

British man draws pet portraits for homeless charity.

Phil Heckels from Worthing, United Kingdom, has raised almost £35,000 for Turning Tides, a local homeless services organization, by drawing light-hearted caricatures of animal companions, including dogs, cats, mice, a praying mantis and a hedgehog. The endeavor started after he drew a picture of his family’s dog companion to inspire his six-year-old son to make a thank you card and shared it on Facebook under the pseudonym Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, joking that people could order an animal friend portrait for £299. His work became very popular, with many orders coming in and all proceeds going to Turning Tides, which he has long supported. Heaven’s blessings, Phil Heckels, for your loving project. May your delightful artwork continue to bring smiles to many as your sweet efforts help our sisters and brothers have safe and warm shelter, in Divine goodness.

Coming up, almost all first-time plant-based meat buyers during pandemic plan a repurchase. We’ll spend some time now to go sit in the shade of a tree and recharge ourselves with nature’s beneficial ions. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more excellent news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Generous News for a Magnanimous World.

Study finds nearly all new vegan meat buyers during pandemic will return for more.

A report from the United States-headquartered major food producer Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) states that 97% of Americans who tried their first animal-free meat products during the COVID-19 crisis say they will buy them again. The surveyed consumers cited the meat analogs as being safer and healthier than animal protein along with convenience as their primary reasons for buying plant-based brands like Beyond Meat, Gardein, Impossible Foods, Lightlife and MorningStar Farms. Ana Ferrell, ADM’s Vice President of Marketing, commented that this change in eating habits would “lead to some exciting innovations and market introductions in the next 12 to 18 months.” Kudos, Ana Ferrell and the Archer Daniels Midland team, for highlighting this outstanding news! In the benevolence of the Providence, we pray for a swift global transition to a plant-based food system.

Australian greater gliders recognized as three different species.

A project by James Cook University PhD student Denise McGregor and other researchers examined the DNA of 50 greater gliders, who can soar up to 100 meters among the eucalyptus trees where the marsupial lives and forages. The researchers discovered that the glider is actually three distinct species. This follows a similar finding regarding the sugar glider, which was also found to be made up of more than one species. Scientists are hopeful that the new taxonomical classifications will help provide better protection of the precious greater gliders that have experienced an 80% population loss nationwide in the past 20 years. The discovery has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Scientific Reports. Our salute, Denise McGregor and colleagues. Your research gives us fascinating insight into these awesome high-flying friends, as we also give thanks to Heaven for all our amazing animal co-inhabitants.

Now, time to tone the muscles of your face with a good laugh entitled “Adults – Explained.”

Big brother Larry decided to see if his little brother Jerry really understood how children and grownups differ:

“Jerry, who is considered an adult?”

“A person who has stopped growing at both ends and is now growing in the middle.”

And now we have a heartline from Hanjun in Korea:

Hallo, I first experienced the inner Heavenly Light and Sound 15 years after being initiated by Master Ching Hai, and it’s been 25 years now. I’d like to tell you the story of the moment I had my first inner Heavenly Light and Sound experience. For the first 15 years after initiation, I joined many of Master’s projects and was busy and practicing diligently, but I had no inner experience, which made me confused in my life. Then one day, when I came back and was lying in my room, I suddenly saw inner Heavenly Light from my wisdom eye. I went to the bathroom to check if it was real or not. In perfect darkness, I could really see the Light. And after a couple of days, I also started to hear the inner Heavenly Sound. I concentrated 24-hours a day to not lose that Sound, and even concentrated while I was taking walks through forests. But then, the inner Heavenly Sound changed to a Sound reciting the Five Holy Names, I could hear it even while among the forest trees like the sound of the wind, And also, when I’d come out of my house and take walks at night, from the dark sky, it was heard like angels were singing in unison. At that time, the real Quan Yin Method of inner Heavenly Light and Sound began. And I could feel my wisdom grow little by little. I really feel that the Quan Yin Method is indeed a formless, subtle method. Probably the most important thing is spiritual evolution and liberation through Master Power. I sincerely thank You again, Master Ching Hai. Hanjun from Korea

Faithful Hanjun, We thank you for sharing your meditative experiences with us.

Master wrote the following to you: “Attuned Hanjun, know that your light shines brightly inside and out and that I love you. I applaud your trust and faith in the Quan Yin Method and am pleased that you can see progress in your spiritual practice. The Heavenly Light and Sound are there 24/7 since the time of initiation. It takes soul level of undiluted concentration to realize it. Glad you notice them at last! Better late than never. Wishing you much more joy and peace in your meditation and in your daily life. May Heaven bless you and your dear ones, and shine Love and Light on the delightful Korean people.”
