In today’s news, vulnerable families in Kenya receive vital support, scientists confirm urgency of reducing emissions from livestock, Norway commissions free image maps for monitoring tropical forests, smart suitcase helps visually impaired people to travel, Bangladeshi teenager wins international peace prize, pizza restaurants in Australia add vegan wings to menu, and endangered species receive more legal protection in United States.

Food security in Kenya receives much needed support.

Travel restrictions and lockdowns to contain the spread of COVID-19 presented significant challenges to the tourism industry in Kenya’s Mombasa County. Many families living along the coast either lost their informal livelihoods or had their incomes drastically reduced. With a donation from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has started providing monthly cash transfers to 24,000 families. The money will be sufficient to cover half of their food expenses, while 6,000 children and mothers will receive supplemental nutrition in the form of peanut butter and fortified flour. The United States is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to USAID, WFP and Kenya’s own government programs for lessening the distress of vulnerable individuals. May the courteous people of Kenya regain their food security and financial strength in a brighter future, embraced by the Providence.

Researchers look at ways to curb global warming.

In a recent paper, scientists warn that the overall temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere will rise unless significant changes are made to worldwide food production. Even if fossil fuel emissions drop to zero, greenhouse gases from animal livestock raising would escalate as the world population grows, warming the planet more than 1.5 degrees Celsius this century. However, the scientists present the possibility of controlling the temperature increase by adopting plant-rich diets, improving crop yields, and reducing food waste. Dr. Michael Clark, researcher at the University of Oxford in the UK and lead author of the report, is confident this can be achieved through the collective responsibility of citizens and governments. Thank you, Dr. Clark and fellow scientists, for your serious assessment. We pray for all people to see the light and do what is right to save our world, in Divine upliftment.

Up next, Norway commissions free image maps for monitoring tropical forests. We’ll take a moment to thank the fruit and vegetable inspectors, who check the temperature of the produce, identify any defects, and determine its grade based on established quality standards. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more radiant news.

Good day, inquisitive viewers, it’s Michelle the vegan Mary River Turtle. Honestly, can you think of a better way to live than being vegan? When you do good, you feel good! So start today and let’s make our world a better place! If you have a baby, you’ve probably noticed how fast their nails grow. Here are some tips for trimming them. First of all, it’s safer to use nail clippers or an emery board instead of scissors. Then, your best bet is to try doing it while your child is asleep. If that doesn’t work out, your backup strategy is to create a diversion. Give your little one something colorful to look at, a song that you sing for them, or a treat to eat. Remember to cut toenails straight across, and be sure to praise your bundle of joy for helping you. That way you’ll both feel good about the experience! Much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now for the weather around the world.

Satellite network provides monthly updates on deforestation in 64 countries.

The Norwegian government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism recipient and a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection laureate, has invested US$44 million in a project shared by three firms that gives everyone free access to high-resolution imagery of the world’s tropical forests. This especially benefits non-governmental organizations and other groups that are concerned about stopping the destruction of the rainforests and saving these precious ecosystems, but cannot afford such expensive datasets. US-based aerospace company, Planet Labs Inc., has more than 150 satellites in orbit that do the bulk of the monitoring. Multinational corporation Airbus is sharing its extensive image archive that goes back to 2002. Norway’s own Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) acts as the information coordinator and furnishes technical support to users. Our genuine gratefulness, Norway, as well as Planet Labs, Airbus and KSAT, for making data available that could promote ethical and democratic management of the Earth’s rainforests, in Celestial wisdom.

High-tech prototype uses artificial intelligence so visually impaired can navigate public spaces.

Dr. Chieko Asakawa, an IBM Distinguished Service Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, lost her eyesight when she was 14 years old and has spent most of her adult life developing accessibility technology. Since 2017 she has been working with IBM Japan Ltd. and other companies on a robotic suitcase, to help herself and other blind people transit places like airports and shopping malls. The user communicates the desired destination through a mobile phone app, and then the rolling assistant plans the best route, using cameras, sensors and artificial intelligence. Directions for the user are delivered by means of vibrations in the unit’s handle. Our delighted applause, Dr. Asakawa, IBM Japan and collaborators, for giving autonomy to people with visual disabilities. May we be blessed with more innovations that improve the quality of life, in Heaven’s abiding care.

Activist creates organization and software to support young victims of cyberbullying.

Seventeen-year-old Sadat Rahman of Bangladesh is the 2020 winner of the International Children’s Peace Prize, awarded annually by the KidsRights Foundation. He is being recognized for founding a volunteer support group in his home district of Narail, as well as for developing the mobile app Cyber Teens. The program empowers adolescents to use the internet safely and report cyberbullies confidentially. Since its debut, hundreds of teenagers have used the app and eight suspects have been arrested for online crimes. Sadat’s accolade comes with €100,000, which he will use to expand his services and protect children across Bangladesh. Our sincere congratulations, Sadat Rahman! You truly deserve this recognition for such noble ideals and using your talents to make the world a better place, in the overflowing love of Allah.

Coming up, pizza restaurants in Australia add vegan wings to menu. We will take a moment to regain our composure by sitting up straight, hands relaxed in our lap, closing our eyes, and taking several slow and deep breaths – inhaling peace and exhaling stress. More praiseworthy news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Foresighted News for an Intelligent World.

Fast-food chain debuts plant-based wings and sauces.

Pizza Hut, an international franchise headquartered in the United States, has added the new menu items only at its outlets in Australia. The nugget-shaped wings are made from wheat protein, have a crunchy exterior, and may be ordered with five vegan dipping sauces, including Chipotle, Buffalo, Smoky BBQ, Hickory & Brown Sugar, and Hot Chili. In recent years, Pizza Hut has been upgrading the food it offers in response to growing customer demand for animal-free and sustainable options. In 2019, the company rolled out four novel pizzas named Vegan Mediterranean, Vegan Deluxe, Vegan Cheese Lovers and Vegan Margherita. Patrons were also introduced to vegan cheesy garlic bread and nondairy ice cream cones. Three cheers, Pizza Hut, on your enlightened service to hungry consumers. We pray that your delicious offerings will entice all of Australia to choose the compassionate way of eating as soon as possible, in Celestial celebration!

Vermont, United States passes law to protect imperiled wildlife.

The Honorable Phil Scott, Governor of Vermont, has signed legislation that prohibits the sale of ivory and other parts of endangered animals. The Government of Vermont is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. The new law applies to 15 of the world’s most at-risk species, such as elephants, rhinos, cheetahs and giraffes, and will take effect in January 2022. Although federal law prohibits importing, exporting and interstate trading of wildlife parts, contraband still manages to cross borders. This is why state bans on trading are at once necessary and effective for discouraging poachers and traffickers. God bless you, Governor Phil Scott and all supportive legislators! May your wise governance inspire other leaders to safeguard our treasured wild fauna, in Heaven’s abundant grace.

One joke daily, keeps everyone happy, this is for you especially. It’s entitled, “Special Skill.”

“Hey Jenny, I heard you got a new job. How’s it going?”

“It’s fine now that I’ve completed the training period.”

“Oh yeah? What special skill do you need to work in an orange juice factory?”

“You have to learn how to concentrate!”

And now we have a heartline from Bita in Iran:

In the Name of God! Greetings from Your humble disciple to the Highest Master of the Earth and Universe, Tim Qo Tu, the Beloved Lord of All the Worlds! My dear Supreme Master, every minute and every day I am grateful, and I wonder how You appeared in my life and saved me. For many years, I have been asking God for salvation and for Hiers Love and unity with Hirm. Eleven years ago, I received the gift of initiation from Your merciful and kind Being. After connecting with You, all of my thirst for being with God was quenched, and all my outwardly searching was finished. The day I remembered my True Self, I knew that You are inside me, and there is no I, but all is You. And I became one with Your divine Presence and realized that You are God. Every day when I wake up, it is like I just got initiated on that day, and I am always grateful for and in awe of this rare and precious occasion, the highest gift, eternal salvation and liberation of my soul. It is because of all the miracles and blessings that are continuously flowing from Your divine Being to me, and the feeling of being always blessed and loved in a special way. Also, because my unconditional love, wisdom and freedom are growing, I feel very happy and free and have inner joy. Beloved God of All the Worlds, I am always happy in You. I breathe and live in God. The words are not enough for praising and thanking You and the lovely, blessed Quan Yin messengers who are the tools for initiation. My only sorrows are the physical distance from Your Divine presence and also the pain of God’s creations. I thank You for all of Your visible and invisible help and Your Compassion, Love, Blessings and Grace to all of the visible and invisible creations.

And my special thanks to the noble, unconditional and shining Supreme Master TV team who are truly Your worthy and dedicated disciples. May the blessings of the Divine and highest Heavens shine on their beings. They make it possible that Supreme Master TV airs for disciples like me, who haven’t had the honor to meet You. But by seeing You on TV every day, my heart and eyes are brightened, and I benefit from Your true teaching and infinite wisdom. That makes the physical separation from You bearable for me; also it brings light, peace and love to our world and increases the love and consciousness of creations. Hope to see You and hope to have a vegan world. I would also like to send greetings and love from my three sisters, daughters and niece and her initiate father to You. We love You forever, Bita from Iran

(A poem by Nezami)

O Your Name is the best beginning of everything Without Your Name, I don’t begin anything

Remembering You, is comforting my soul, No other words, utter from my mouth except Your Name.

You read everything that is not written yet, You know things that have not happened yet, Free me from my ignorance Let me know my own light.

Lovely Bita, Thank you for your moving message.

Master has a reply for you. “Faithful Bita, Thank you truly for your heartfelt-insightful poem. I am touched by your devotion and pure-hearted love. The Master Power will be with you always. Happy to know Supreme Master Television brings you daily comfort. May you and the poetic people of Iran shine under the Celestial sky, in Allah’s eternal care. Love Love.”
